Trade Stands - Open Ground or Shopping Avenue

To apply for an Open Ground Trade Stand at the Tiverton Balloon Festival 2013 please either apply on line or download our booking form and post it together with required documents and payment.

Alternatively to an Open Ground Trade Stand site there are also a number of 3 M X 3 M enclosed on 3 sides marquee Shopping Avenue Bays at £275 ea + vat. To apply for these please complete the Booking Form below, ignore Size Options but insert 'Shopping Avenue Bay' within 'Other' box. Email applications are acknowledged immediately. Postal applications will be acknowledges within 14 days of receipt.

Please submit payment by cheque or BACS (see below). Confirmation of allocation of a Trade Stand or otherwise will be made within 30 days. If your insurance expires prior to the 14th July 2013 please forward renewal ASAP.

Electric Requirements

The prices to the right are for the provision of electricity together with the supply (on hire) of equipment, together with the necessary mains cable, circuit protection and control.

The supply will be available from 15:00 Friday 12th July for the opening hours of the Festival, NOT overnight (please call if electricity is required outside of these hours).

Tiverton Hot Air Balloon Festival Friday 12th - Sunday 14th July 2013

a) All traders to have £5M Employer's Liability and £5M Public and Products Liability.

b) No generators without prior permission. Any electrical generator must be of silent type.

c) Traders to be set up and ready to trade by:

Friday 12th July - 16:30 to 21:30*

Saturday 13th & Sunday 14th - 12:30 to 21:30*

d) NO vehicle movements including deliveries/collections on site other than during the following times - 

Thursday 11th: 16:30 - 21:00

Friday 12th: 08:00 - 15:30

Saturday 13th: 08:00 - 12:00

Sunday 14th: 08:00 - 12:00 & 22:00* - 24:00

* The above times may be brought forward if very poor weather causes evening activities to be shortened.

e) Unless forming an integral part of the stand, no vehicles to be parked on site outside of the above vehicle movement hours without prior permission & with a vehicle permit (£10+vat).

f) Basic Trade Stand applications include 2 entry passes to the Festival. Larger Trade stands receive 4 passes. Any additional passes can be purchased at the standard visitor rates - See website for ticket details

g) A Trade Stand Risk Assessment is required in advance detailing the display & with the Tiverton Balloon Festival 12th July to 14th July as the named event.

h) If electricity supply is required (chargeable) please complete and return the relevant application form together with payment.

i) No litter left on site overnight or at the end of the event.

j) Other than by official caterers appointed by the Festival, the selling of food/drink for consumption on the festival site is prohibited. Free samples are permitted.

k) The organisers reserve the right to instruct any trader to stop operating immediately should they consider the operation to be to the detriment of the Festival.

l) By applying to participate in the Festival the participant waives the right of any action against the Festival organisers; Aerosaurus Balloons; Devon County Council; Petroc College; Tiverton High School; Festival contractors; their employees or anyone assisting the event, in respect of any personal loss or damage sustained by the participant in consequence of any act or omission on the part of said bodies or other participants.
